It seeks to showcase the value Archaeology brings to Scotland and report on the delivery of Scotland\u2019s Archaeology Strategy\u2019s key aims. This year will be the sixth issue, following on from our successful <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/archaeologystrategy.scot\/magazine\/\" target=\"_blank\">issues<\/a> of the past five years, and a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/archaeologystrategy.scot\/scotlands-archaeology-strategy-five-year-review\/\" target=\"_blank\">five year review<\/a>, which you can find on the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/archaeologystrategy.scot\" target=\"_blank\">Archaeology Strategy Website.<\/a> This year\u2019s issue will be fully digital, available for free online and in an accessible format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They would particularly welcome content on its three main themes \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Delivering the transition to net zero<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Empowering resilient and inclusive communities and places<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Building a wellbeing economy<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>but welcome any news or stories you may have as well as information on upcoming initiatives and events from the wider archaeological community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They have room for submissions of no more than around 300 words at the most, but they would also welcome short pieces of news or notices around 50 words in length. Submissions should have at <strong>least two high-res images<\/strong> to illustrate the story, and more if possible. For guidelines on your submission, including image captions, copyright, and our editing process, please refer to their <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/archaeologystrategy.scot\/celebrating-archaeology-in-scotland-notes-for-contributors\/\" target=\"_blank\">notes for contributors<\/a> page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please send your submissions to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:ArchaeologyStrategy@hes.scot\" target=\"_blank\">ArchaeologyStrategy@hes.scot<\/a> <strong>no later than the 7<sup>th<\/sup> of July.<\/strong> They hope to launch the magazine online in early October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a great chance to highlight your work and the great work development-led archaeology does in Scotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scotland&#8217;s Archaeology Strategy has opened for the Celebrating Archaeology in Scotland 2023 publication.
